                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING PART OF THE
                   500 BLOCK OF WEST 19TH STREET EAST OF CARTER
                   STREET; PART OF THE 1900 BLOCK OF FORT STREET
                   NORTH OF RIVERFRONT PARKWAY AND ALLEYWAYS
                   BETWEEN CARTER STREET AND CHESTNUT STREET AND
                   WEST 19TH STREET AND RIVERFRONT PARKWAY, MORE
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned part of the 500 block of West 19th Street east of 

         Carter Street; part of the 1900 block of Fort Street north of
         Riverfront Parkway and alleyways between Carter Street and
         Chestnut Street and West 19th Street and Riverfront Parkway, 
more
         particularly described herein, and as shown on plat attached
         hereto and made a part hereof by reference:
               
                A portion of West 19th Street, a 50 foot
                right-of-way, beginning on the east side of Carter
                Street and going some 566 feet to the west side of
                Chestnut Street.
               
                A portion of Fort Street, a 50 foot right-of-way,
                beginning on the south side of West 19th Street and
                going some 300 feet + to the northern side of
                Riverfront Parkway.
               
                Portions of two 10 foot alleyways located between
                Carter Street and Chestnut Street, and West 19th
                Street and Riverfront Parkway.  All streets and
                alleyways are as shown on the attached map.  Tax
                Map 145K-C-7-12, 145K-D-7-13 & 145K-E-2.
               
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
